Peter Wright, President of Wright Benefit Strategies (established in 2001), has over 35 years’ experience in the financial services industry. Peter has developed a number of financial service businesses and strategies serving the employee benefit, retirement plan and risk management markets. Wright Benefit Strategies was established to deliver objective and focused consulting services to employers and individuals. Since its founding in 2001, WBS has grown through new clients, acquisition of Holzl Financial Group and Gibbs Organization, and establishment of Wright Benefit Advisors, a registered investment advisory firm. Today, the firm partners with Wislon Parners and provides a full range of services to middle market employers. Prior to establishing Wright Benefit Strategies, Inc, Peter worked for a major insurance broker and service firm serving private and non-profit employers. Peter began his career with a major insurance carrier in Hartford, Connecticut. Peter received a Bachelor of Science Degree, with Honors, from the Geis College of Business at the University of Illinois in Urbana, Illinois. He completed the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation through the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Peter is licensed for all forms of insurance. In addition, he is licensed for all forms of securities. Peter is has a keen interest in political economics and history, as well as the outdoors and family.
